Dear UCLA Parents and Families:
Seasons Greetings!
Congratulations on making it through the 2011 Fall Quarter! Finals have wrapped up, and your student may soon be returning home to enjoy a much deserved break. During this time of year parents and students may pause and reflect on the past quarter as it comes to a close. Whether you are the parent of a first year student, or a soon to be graduating senior, winter break is a time to look back on recent academic and social accomplishments and prepare for the year ahead.
As your Bruin returns home for the holidays you will have the opportunity to provide guidance and support. Encourage your Bruin to continue exploring all the possibilities UCLA has to offer. We will be providing daily updates, important notifications, and useful tools on our Facebook page for your use during the holiday break.
On a separate note, I am thrilled to be composing my first of many Campus Updates. I am also excited to join a brand new staff, enhancing and further developing the services we are able to provide to UCLA parents and families.
The UCLA Parent & Family Programs staff wishes you and yours peace, health, and happiness for 2012. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Warmest Wishes,
Maisha Beasley, M.A.
Director, Parent & Family Programs

Happy Holidays from Lauren, Maisha, and Sandy
